Do you remember my first HIIT Workout? The idea was to switch between static and highly dynamic exercises. It involved skipping the rope as the endurance training and doing plank variations for stability. If you feel more like this now, check it out here.
Six workouts later, it is time again for this kind of training. I mixed static and dynamic exercises to make your muscles burn. This HIIT won’t include any breaks. Make sure you stretched out your muscles and warmed up properly before you start.
60 sec burpees
30 sec chair position against a wall
60 sec plank jacks
30 sec superman
60 sec in and out squat jumps
30 sec plank with the right arm extended
60 sec tuck jumps
30 sec plank with the left arm extended
60 sec mountain climbers
30 sec holding low squat position
After warming up, you ought to do the HIIT section twice. This alone will take 15 min, so, get ready to sweat. Keep going during the 60 sec of endurance exercises and find stillness during the static ones. No bouncing and certainly no giving up allowed here.
I hope you do this or any other workout today. Don’t waste a day. Of course, you need a rest now and then and especially when your muscles are sore. Nevertheless our ancestors couldn’t choose the day or the time for their kind of workout. The mammoth decided upon the beginning of the “workout”. We got so lost in our daily routine; we categorize things in “normal” and “extreme” on the basis of the modern life. Our way of thinking might be modern, but our body is almost the same as it was 2000 and more years ago. All the illnesses caused by civilization have a reason. Hunter-gatherers were active enough and ate real food. Problems like obesity or diabetes simply didn’t exist.
Still one thing to mention: the perfect workout gear!
I built an outfit around this keypiece: a pair of leggins that scream fall! The sports bra fits the lighter shades of pink, whereas the sweater complements the darker shades. Fall needs some color; there is no room for more black. So, get yourself this wonderful pair of purple Pumas!
Ok, sorry, for the little excess with my words. I just hope to make some people thinking and maybe I can motivate some of you with this little post.
Have fun and make yourself proud!
